stoled from epeeblade a long time ago but I was afraid of catching a bunny before I was done with Homeless-verse.

The Hypothetical AU Meme: Take any one of the fandoms you know I write in, and give me a type of AU (space opera AU, pirate AU,superhero AU, Ancient Rome, etc). I will then explain what story from your chosen fandom I would write for your chosen type of AU. 

Fandoms would probably be: 
Big Valley
Boondock Saints
Dark Angel
RPS
SPN

Or surprise me with anything I've talked about liking and maybe I can pull something out of the ether.

Oh my lord I'm a sucker for Ancient Rome as I studied it a lot, I'm particularly fascinated by Carthage, both pre Roman (BC) and during the Roman rebuild. Also fascinated by the idea of space opera, but Rome as a first choice. As to fandom I'd have to go for either SPN or J2 RPS.

Okay.
So I'd write this fic where the Roman styles and ideas came back into fashion around 3000 AD. (less research that way. :))

Jensen is a commander with the fifty-fourth legion sent to the reaches of space to rout out the savage influences on the fringe and bring order back to the territory. In his private life he's part of the Cult of the Son (tiny shout-out to old-school Star Trek). He's anti-slavery but when part of the spoils of war is a handsome young slave with no possible good future, Jensen reluctantly accepts.

In other news, just re-read In 'From The Cold' cover to cover so to speak. It's even better on second reading if that were possible.
