Random question

I needed a name for a minor character in a fic, and I want it to be after the lady at one of the fabric stores. She's Mexican-American and she pronounces it Oh-FAY-lia. Is that like Ophelia? or should there be an accent mark somewhere, or is it completely different? Any ideas?

Phonetically, the Spanish pronunciation *would* be Ofelia. I've seen a patient with that name, at my office. :)

No accent mark needed. In Spanish the accent falls on the penultimate syllable unless otherwise marked. I have a regular customer named Ofelia. She's a sweetie, too!
