Matt was quite some time after Cruise. Jensen went from being the property of Ben Affleck when he was 21 to being owned by Matt when he was twenty two. Matt sold Jensen to Leonardo DiCaprio when Jensen was twenty five, so it wasn't as brief an ownership as I thought.

Just to add to this Pt has Affleck *giving* Jensen to Matt when he gets married because his wife Jennifer Garner doesn't want Jensen around.
