(no subject)

Cut off the tip of my left hand bird finger while chopping onions.

Just skin and nail and a little meat.

It feels less than good.

Oooh, ouch. I did that once with a serrated knife, trying to cut the top off of a can of Comet which had gotten waterlogged (brilliant!!!), but since I'm a lefty it's on the other hand. Same finger though! I hope yours heals without any long-term trouble, mine did. I have a circular scar on my fingertip which you can BARELY see (the scar, not the fingertip which is normal-sized :P). The fingerprint grew back, amazingly.

Now that mine is not-so-bloody, I can see it's more the top of the finger I lost. So fingerprints still intact. No career of super-theifdom for me.

It's stupid that I went 14 years working in a frame shop with razors and glass and all and never had a serious injury with a blade before this.

My mother-in-law wants to bring me a gadget for cutting onions now. :0

I cut off the corner, with a little bit of my nail.

I would take her up on the offer! Ever since that happened to me, I refuse to sharpen kitchen knives, so they're all dull. It's saved me quite a bit of grief.
