Heh. There's a possible sequel but I doubt it'll be Spock/Kirk. Spock!prime might be more likely (but it won't be that either).

I think Kirk didn't even try language until his child was born. He knew she had to have a life off of this ship, even if his ideas for what that life will look like come from the ship's data and not his own experiences. Speaking was a skill he needed so he relearned it.
