I don't think that the dom-rush would be enough for Jensen if that was all that he could have of Jared outside of their friendship. Not that doing this costs him, but doing /only/ this would. If that makes sense? Also, even if they continued being only dom/sub, I think he might discover his enjoyment of it, but for now he's not quite in that head-space. For him, at that moment, it was mostly about Jared getting what he needs and the fear that he'd be just a tool to achieve that, a replacement-Jeff with the right-tuned libedo.

I think if I ever do write a sequel, it'll be about Jensen learning that he enjoys topping, and that it's okay and doesnt make him a bad person.
