I like Jared having to set the level, say what he wants. And maybe there's some days when he just wants to be /broken/, and having only that one little step up available to him keeps him from asking for that. I think Jared's not a sub who would push his dom for more than is offered. He wouldn't be 'bad' to get attention. He wants to please and be good and be loved.

On the other hand, he knows who he is and even at 17 and in a bad place, he said no to something that made him feel like less of a person.

If Jensen picks up where Jeff left off, I think the 10 Jensen offers will be Jeff's 8, and even then, I don't think Jared will push for it.
