Really? I haven't been in many other fandoms, and HP was my first, so my fandom experience is limited.

I must say that so far in SPN/J2 the experience has been good and the (many many) WIPs I follow all get updated/completed regularly enough. I'm just one of those people who wants More! Now! and loves having the whole story ready to read in 1 or 2 sittings.
