Lovely characterization, your Jared sucked me in right from the start lines and Jensen... started out fascinating and was just heartbreaking by the end. Great use and expansion of the Rollerball world. Of course, I'm a sucker for post apocalypse stuff, whatever the form.

This was some of the best crack I've ever read, and I've spent a lot of time in SGA where they've raised it to a real art form. I wouldn't even call it crack except, well, anything with "Rollerball" essential to the summary kinda automatically meets the definition ::g::

As with all the best ones, your crack was seemlessly integrated into a wonderful, living story, one that makes you forget all about the cracky aspects as soon as you're into it, right up until you're trying to summarize the story for your friends because they *have* to read it.
