Somehow, I'm glad that Jen's parents are feeling guilty. Not because I wish them pain, but their relationship with Jensen seems more salvageable that way. They're prepared to make an effort and they've acted okay towards Jared. May I take a guess as to why Alan can't look his son in the eye? I think it's part uncomfortableness from him being gay, but it's probably mostly guilt. He feels like he failed Jensen somehow, failed to do something that would have made him straight. Anyway, it's better than hatred, revulsion and disownment. I don't have to hate Jensen's parents that way.
