Omniscient!Sam is a character that will require careful handling or he might become annoying, like a deux ex machina. But the way you're doing it sounds interesting; it would definitely make you a little crazy to see so many futures. Doing something to try to get to a particular one might be the very thing that makes it not happen, like in time-travelling stories.
