That's so awesome that you liked that line. I just wanted to sort of invoke the spirit of canon-Sam in broken-Sam, to show somewhere they were so different.

And the visions, dreams, nightmares line was one of the 'concept' lines that I had in my head almost from the beginning--one that I wrote part of the chapter in order to get to.
