I haven't commented in a while because I was just reading along letting the story unfold but I'd just like to say that this is really so good. If you weren't using the names 'Jared' and 'Jensen' it could be an awesome short story with some fleshing out.

Also, in spite of the fact that you've treated the budding relationship between the guys very sweetly and sensitively, I have huge sympathy for Jensen's family. Maybe moreso than for Jensen himself, who is mostly oblivious to what he has lost. Nicely done.
