Oh, blue.

We went to Central Market today and brought home our groceries in two paper bags.

Piff?  Gets the bag.  He hides, he plays, it's all good.

Blue?  Not so much.  He slides it.  He gets tangled in the handle.  He sits outside of the bag looking desperately perplexed.

I'm almost embarrased for him...almost.

For some reason my Phouka is really leery of plastic bags. Whenever I pulled one out and shake it to open it (even a garbage bag) he takes off. But if one gets on the floor, he'll maul it when I'm not around.

One day I'd just come back from the grocery store. This was before I had my canvas bags. I was putting things away and I heard a rustle and saw a stealthy movement out of the corner of my eye.

I turned to see Phouka, head stuck through one of the bag's handles, the bag trailing across his back like a Superman cape, doing a slinky, commando belly crawl across the floor. He had this total 'I see dead people' look on his face. When I could stop laughing long enough to extricate him, he just sat there looking traumatized.

I don't know what I'd do for entertainment without a cat in my life. Life would be so much less shiny. *G*

Hi, hope you don't mind me commenting - I do comment to your fic but just had to say that I just love the vision of poor Blue not knowing what to do with the bag lol.

I love cats and used to have 2 but sadly they both got killed by cars - we live by a busy road so no more cats for me. I do have a dog though - see icon (taken after a drink of water!)

Oh, do I know the feeling. I can't leave the handles on paper bags, because one of my cats has come close to choking himself on them. Sweet as can be, but just not smart.

Hey, I have been outfoxed by bags (paper and plastic) too many times to count. Like last week, when my carefully self-packed blueberry punnet managed to come undone in the bag on teh way home, then when trying to fix the problem with minimum squashiness, I upended the entire bag over floor, self, and interior of hangbag.
