From what I remember, you said that your Jeff is very balanced, been through hard times, doesn't take fame seriously,etc. And one of the major stumbing blocks to continuing this is how to explain Dean in the "real world", with his resemblence to Jensen, without dragging Jensen, Jared, families, etc, into it, like a 3-ring explanatory circus.
How attached *is* your Jeff to the life he has now? Is he acting because he still enjoys it or because he can, makes a decent living at it, doesn't have other interesting options, etc? Habit?
I don't think Dean could be a bounty hunter. Too much travelling-he'd be a very visible ringer for Jensen running around, getting spotted all the time. Have to give out fake autographs in airports and stuff, he'd hate dealing with that (you know those crazy, persisten fangirls). I do think any job where he could help people, be useful, and reasonably physically active, is a good candidate for him.(EMT is one I've always favored, personally.) I can't see the lack of i.d. being too big a problem for somebody who's lived a life faking i.d.'s & whatever documentation he's needed-with & without Sam or John.
Jeff & Dean are obviously drawn together, feeling *something* about each other-attraction, interest, genuine human warmth after a long time of isolation, pain, or nothing.
The question is, imo: how attached is Jeff to his actorly life? Could he be happy if they ended up going somewhere entirely different & doing something else? Pursuing art? Something else...in an exotic locale, maybe, where their money could stretch further. I don't see either of them as being the type to need *things* to make them happy; and a more "primitive" or less sophisicated setting would make it easier for Dean to hunt, I'd think. At least the locals would appreciate it, rather than think he was a crazed killer.
