OMG cleaning
So. I've clearly gone mad. I've decided that before school starts on Monday, I need to straighten (not deep-clean, but not stuff-it-somewhere) the whole house. Including such problem spots as:
the freakin' craft room (done)
After: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tc-QNXWug90
Utility room (done)
Before: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weFfbwIYchE
After: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daf8ugavlY4
Front closet (OMG shoes! It's taking longer than the craft room, I swear. HOW?!!??!!) (half-done)
Before:
The "office closet" where we keep random papers and stuff. (unstarted)
The bedroom closet aka most inefficient space evar! (unstarted)
I figured if I could finish the craft room in around 2 hrs with Kendra's help, I can get these two and a half projects done by monday.
It sounds silly, but it's easier to get around to tackling one of these massive projects if I make a before and after video. Sam's sure getting his money's worth from the camera, I tell you what.
On a non-cleaning note, Kendra and I have been walk/jogging around the little park. We're getting longer runs and shorter walks every time. If we keep it up, I'd say we're about two weeks from being able to make a full lap. I was using that breathing tecnique where you exhale hard on a one-count and take a 3 count to inhale. So it's "in, in, in, out!" That made a drastic difference in a cramp in my side and my endurance and how fast I recovered while walking between runs.
Monday is the first day of weight-training class in school. Lookin' forward to it.

The cleaning process disturbed him. He kept trying to dig everything out of the garbage can. Onceit was all clean though, he was chillin'.

Sam was impressed. Very impressed.
The walk/jog felt good too.

Little Piff doesn't know what to make of it now. He just sort of sniffs around and looks all mellow.
Clean house for the sake of the cats.

Great job!

Yay! It feels great. I went in and just sat in the middle of the floor for a while last night. :)

If you take the same time to exhale as inhale, you're inhaling new air 50% of the time. This way, it's 3/4 of the time.
Gotta wear my wide headband/earmuff thing next time I go out. Ear misery with the cold really gets to me.

If I may ask an off-topic question, who is the young boy in the icon above? He kind of reminds me of my dad at that age.

The young boy played the younger version of the guy in my icon in this comment in Dark Angel, the episode with Jensen's one-shot character, Ben.

Would you like me to put the episode on yousendit or something for you? Ben is the kid in my "Today's Tom Sawyer" SPN/DA AU verse.
I really like the icon. I had hair that short not too long ago, and it seemed to fit me somehow.

It is a really cool icon.
Re the hair -- I'm 39 and I haven't cut my hair since 1986! It was short then, but now I'm trying to get it all the way to my knees -- I have about 2 inches to go!

Heh. I had my hair cut finger-length from 2000-2006. I'm just nowletting it grow out. It comes down to my nose in front. It's very very weird.

Long story short (DA spoilers liek whoa)
They are genetically engineered super-soldiers who escaped the govt when they were around 9 yrs old. Trained to hunt and kill. Ben--just couldn't function outside. He worshipped a goddess they'd created for themselves inside, and killed in sacrifice to her. Max (Alba) found out and hunted him down. Trying to help him if she could, but stop him either way. Broke his knee backwards, and the govt was closing in and he asked her to kill him.

Yeah, the hair is freaky long. But now it's like Klingon Honor or something not to cut it!

Oh yes, and my he was beautiful in those days. Even more than now (althought I like the way he wears the years, becoming more handsome as he ages a tiny big). He was just unreal at the time. Too beautiful for this world. :)

Wow. Knees.
