  Taken from peaceful_sands, this looked too awesome but I didn't want to play until I'd already finished one of the two Losers WIPs I was desperately working on.

Name any two fandoms you know I'm familiar with, and I will tell you how I would, hypothetically, cross them over!

I'll consider any fandom I have ever written in, or any that I have recced or mentioned in my journal in a serious way as fair game. No promises of anything other than an idea how it would start, but you guys know me, the best fics start this way sometimes.

The Losers/The Avengers or if you don't like that how about The Losers/Leverage *grin*

Losers/Leverage would totally be the epic that I was trying to avoid by writing that "5 times it didn't mean anything" fic.

Jake and Cougar would seduce Eliot that first time, and he keeps expecting a hard fast fuck, but god, they take their time and are so damn tender with him he doesn't know how to take it. They fall asleep in his bed and he lies awake until morning and makes them a gourmet breakfast. Eliot thinks that's the end of it. Then they show up again a month or tow later (possibly in a different country). And again, and again. He finds himself not hooking up so much with the random women they run across on jobs. Okay, not at all. Because he knows Jake and Cougar will find him again.

Then Eliot goes missing between jobs and the team is freaking out. Hardison is researching to see if any of Eliot's old enemies is in town or something, and Jensen busts through his firewall with a chat box that says "WTF, you LOST OUR ELIOT???"

Together, they find who has Eliot, and it's more than the Leverage crew can handle, and more than Jensen/Cougar can handle (and they're split from Clay because Pooch left to be a dad and they didn't see a happy end to the story after that, fuck Clay and his vendetta). If they could do it on their own, there's no way Jensen and Cougar would work with a bunch of civilian amateurs, and no way the Leverage crew would work with cold blooded killers like Cougar (and maybe that Jake guy, they're not sure about him, he looks kind of growly right about now).

So they get Eliot out and he's all beat up and can't walk. Jensen pulls a gun and Cougar puts a laser dot on Nate's forehead and they tell them they'll bring Eliot back when he's better, slackers not keeping track of their hitter.

And then Jensen carries Eliot out of there (because Jensen may spend days behind a computer screen but the dude is built).

With maybe Parker waiting for them at their safe house.

Not that I've thought about this at all. Nope, never. :)

You know that's awesome, right? I'm saying nothing more than that - although if you need a reminder that you have about finished with one fic and need something to balance out the other one you're working on, I'd be happy to mention it then.

Totally need an Eliot icon now.
I need to finish watching Leverage before I get too far into this. I think there's a place in season 3? where some of Eliot's past is revealed and the team backs away from him a tiny bit? Just from fanfic I've read. Which would be a perfect time for him to go missing, and for Cougar and Jensen to decide he's better off with them when he's found.

Heh, I see them going to Eliot's place for the first time (his place because he knows where all the weapons and exits are), and he's like "I don't let guns in my home," and Cougar disables his and leaves it on the entryway table, and Jensen shrugs, "I left mine in the car." and there is much glaring and swearing in Spanish.

I dunno if I should start this one now and hope our Leverage-watching catches up, or start the DA/Losers Homeless AU. Hm. Still moving forward on the hairdresser fic. I'll have a section for you to check out soon.

They've just started showing Season 4 of Leverage here this week. He's seemed a lot darker after what happened toward the end of Season 3 as if he doesn't seem himself in the same way he sees the rest of the team. I think he needs someone who understands him more than the team does.

I vote for this one after your next Losers fic. *g* I love Leverage, though Season 4 was not as shiny and pretty as the previous seasons. But I'm hopeful for Season 5. And Eliot with Jake and Cougar is just AWESOME to think about. (Totally random, my future d-i-l ran into Gina Bell in the toy store a month or so ago, and talked kids with her, as their daughters are about the same age. Six degrees! They're in town filming season 5 now. ;-)

Losers/Avengers:

A team that Max sent to the arctic to disrupt the ice caps or something are the guys who find Cap's airplane. Months later, the Losers are breaking into one of Max's facilities, looking for info on some new weapon thing. They fight a couple super-soldier types (hideously mutated) and win because they're smart. Then they find the main lab, and that dude strapped to the table? Looks a lot like Jensen.

Heh. Cap all stuck in the ice for so long, so vulnerable. It seems too fun to play with someone finding him who had darker intentions.
