So, instead of actually putting new words on my hockey big-bang fic today (which is at 13,000 words), I tried to keep other plot-bunnies from distracting me, by outlining them in Scrivener.

I outlined 3 different fics today, between 9 and 14 note-cards/scenes each (and they'd be sure to expand from there if/when I actually get into the writing).

I have no shortage of ideas, that's for sure.

The three bunnies I worked on are:

The Tazer/Kaner magical realism that I talked about a while ago, where Pat is a cursed fairy prince and Jon is Jon. The biggest sticking point of that one is trying to find a way to express why either of these guys finds the other attractive beyond "They just do." One of the notes is "P insults J, his face and his hockey."

Sid/Geno, also somewhat magical, where Sid has a very bad night after a game and ends up without money, shoes, jacket or phone, in Pittsburgh in the winter.  Geno is the 'homeless' guy who rescues him. And there's a whole world of magic that Sid has sometimes dreamed of.

Sid/Ovie dystopian fic where pro athletes sometimes go to underground pit-fights. It's not really Ovie's scene, but there's this one fighter he can't get out of his head, a regular that's owned by the house. So he keeps going back until his favorite is injured in a fight, and by then it's too late to walk away.

Okay. Now that that's pinned down and not going to get lost in my brain, I need to work on the BB some more.

Okay, this site is too awesome: http://kaction.com/badfanfiction/

The Terrible Crossover Idea Generator. Because I looove terrible idea crossovers.

So far it has given me:

Your challenge is to write crossover fanfiction combining Samurai Jackand I, Robot. The story should use time travel as a plot device!

Your challenge is to write crossover fanfiction combining Evil Dead and 21 Jump Street. The story should use tornadoes as a plot device!

Your challenge is to write crossover fanfiction combining Dukes of Hazzard and Thundercats. The story should use martial arts as a plot device!

Your challenge is to write crossover fanfiction combining Sesame Street and Psych. The story should use a vacation as a plot device!

I could be here all day.

Hmm. Need to re-read the Losers comic. I'm playing with a plot-bunny where Jensen, post-nuke, hooks up with Eliot, pre-Leverage, and they build a relationship of some sort, with Jensen's love of and mourning for Cougar still fresh. Not sure where it'll go from there, or what the story really is. Hmm.

Is there a chart of the Leverage episodes by Eliot!whump? Because I could use that.

So, Embroiderama had a shopping list of all the injuries she's done to a myriad of characters over the years, and it sounded like fun, so I made a list. And then I was looking at it, and some of the things I've done are pretty unique to only one or two characters, so I was wondering if you guys would recognize who the victim was, if I listed all the hurts I'd done. So here goes. After it's been guessed, I'll fill the name in, or if nobody guesses, I'll just fill them in on Friday. (this does not include the latest Losers fic, which may start going up before then too)
Each number is one character, but probably more than one fic with that character.

I reeeeallly need to update my masterlist of fics. Also, when the next WIP Amnesty day comes around, I am soooo there.

Taken from peaceful_sands, this looked too awesome but I didn't want to play until I'd already finished one of the two Losers WIPs I was desperately working on.

Name any two fandoms you know I'm familiar with, and I will tell you how I would, hypothetically, cross them over!

I'll consider any fandom I have ever written in, or any that I have recced or mentioned in my journal in a serious way as fair game. No promises of anything other than an idea how it would start, but you guys know me, the best fics start this way sometimes.

OMG too funny-- "You and Me and your friend Steve"

On a slightly different note, where's the fic where Stark Industries found Cap and his airplane back before Tony went to Afghanistan, but Stane hit it from Tony and has had his scientists trying to reverse-engineer the super-soldier serum by using Steve as a lab rat, and after Tony and Pepper get control over the company again they find the project and have to make things right? Has that been written yet?

(this is me calling "Not it!")

Another of those plot bunnies that I'll never have to write. I feel like I could flow a novel out of this outline.

This feels oddly familiar.  I think I heard about a ST episode (next generation) because of the gender issues and stuff, but I don't think I ever saw it.

Okay, I've only seen two of these, but seriously.  Plot-bunny farm of the gods. It's an indy documentary series PBS puts out, about people and places and things I've never heard of.

We watched "The Loss of Nameless things"  about a charismatic genius writer who suffers a traumatic brain injury (and it kind of made me want to revisit the Homeless verse).

"Off the Charts: The song-poem story" is fascinating.  About the musicians who will make any poem you send them into a song, with vague promises of getting it played/heard.  I had bunnies about Jensen doing that for a living, and Jared's this troubled poet who keeps sending him songs that are actually good, and Jensen tracks him down and tries to get his work actual exposure and Jared's family just think he's trying to take more advantage of him.  And yeah.

Maybe I'm in that creative place where I have too many ideas instead of too few.

On the way to pick the baby up from the sitter last night, I had like this plot-epiphany where all these elements came together and formed a story in my head, so clearly I wonder if I read this somewhere?  Where Jensen is this ballet dancer from Russia who speaks almost no English and Jared's the guy who delivers the room service in his hotel.

I doubt I'll ever get it down on paper, mostly because I know absolutely  nothing about ballet or Russia or super-expensive New York hotels.  But I am plotting it out and saving the notes in Scrivener.  Who knows.

God I want to write again.  I feel fic-defective these days.

I had a random fic-bunny but I"m wondering if somebody else has done this already? Kinda-sorta based on a movie that I saw when I was in my teens, from the 50's or 60's.

So Jensen and Jared are each the last person on earth, as far as each one of them knows. (maybe this is recent, maybe it was years ago. Maybe it was zombies or a plague or maybe they just each woke up one morning all alone). And then they meet and it's really weird not being the last person on earth. So eventually they fall in love (maybe one of them wasn't gay before?) and then they meet a third "last person on earth." (maybe a woman?) to test their relationship.

Has anybody read a fic like this? I know there was a Sam/Dean fic but they never found anyone else.
