So I procrastinated ordering more grommets and now I have enough for one corset left. I'm working on the last busk I have on hand too.
I'm on a "buy as little as possible and still move forward" order until the 30th, so I won't place my big supplies order until then. Which means I'm looking at about a month before I'll have new supplies.
So I made up a tasks-and-objectives list for things that I can at least get almost-done before then.
It looks like I filled my schedule, what do you guys think?
-Make and send ER's mock-up--I think I've chosen the pattern, and it has an adjustable gap at thebust and hip, so it should be easier to do a remote fitting that way.
-Plan and build a more-supportive and strapless version of this to use as a nursing corset. Just because I can.:

-Kendra's Elizabethan corset because she wants to make this dress from The Tudors and it requires the appropriate undergarments.

Adam's forest-garb in green with black and tan accents
Sam's pleated-front fighting garb with detachable court-garb sleeves
Darryl's surcoat, vest and shirt (I'll need him to measure the vest and coat but can start on the shirt without him)

Oh and mom loves the idea of taking a day to go shopping. She just has to work out a good time to ask for some vacation time. I'll be able to give you at least a months notice... and then come hell or migraine I will be there *G*

A day of shopping sounds great. You can pick out exactly which fabric you want your steampunk outfit from and all and then come by the house here and I'll do a fitting for you.
