Jensen's hunt for Jared at the beginning of the chapter had me on edge from the start and had my heart breaking when 'He hears steps running up and turns towards the brick of the building beside him and puts his head against the warm and rough and closes his eyes and doesn’t know what to do without Jared. ' I could feel Jensen's fears and his struggle to work out what to do and how to cope.
I feel for Jeff too as he first sees Jared arrested and then decides that it means he must turn himself in and how he has to be so calculating in his treatment of himself in order to overcome his fears of being inside.
I'm pleased that Jensen's mother is willing to help Jared until she knows more, even if it worried me when she said, “And if he hurt my child, any help I give him now can be undone with a phone call.”
As ever it's an awesome update, I could go on and on listing bits I liked until I sent the whole chapter back, so I shall stop here and just say that I shall eagerly await your next update.
