I just spent the last couple of days reading this, and I am in complete awe. It's so beautiful. I don't have the words to describe how much this story touches me. Every perspective is so completely flushed out. There isn't a single character that feels underdeveloped, or like they're nothing more than a side character. Right down the lawyer. And Jensen. My god. I fell in love with him, too. When it's from his perspective, it's just perfect. The balance of child-like wonder and an adult mind is stunning. It could have tipped so easily into condescending or stupid, and yet you managed to keep it beautiful and real throughout.
I'm so glad I gave this story a shot. I don't often read fics where the boys are on the streets, but someone was looking for it on spnstoryfinders, and I was wanting something long to read, so... You grabbed from the first chapter, and I was kind of resenting work and sleep for getting in the way of reading. ;-) This story (I hesitate to use the term "fic" because this just feels like so much more) is a true jem, and it makes me sad to have reached the end.
