I'm glad you are feeling better. Having a baby is an emotional roller coaster even at the smoothest of times. I cried over my baby all the time!!
For skillets, I have three cast iron and three steel, in different sizes. Cast iron is awesome for sauteing/frying, and once it is seasoned it is better than teflon for quick clean ups. Steel is for sauces and things that "deglaze" the pan. I have one cast iron pan that is just for eggs, frenchtoast, pancakes, that sort of thing and it is PERFECTLY nonstick. My other skillets also don't stick, but are a little more roughly treated. In steel I have a small skillet, saucier, and a highedged thing. Once you get rid of all teflon you will be so glad!
i wonder if you have a dutch oven yet? I have a 7 quart le creuset dutch oven -- it was expensive but SO WORTH IT.
