That running cold holds true even when you balance it on your lap for several hours netflixing *ahem* As to price, check out the BB outlet site online that is where I found mine for $300 less then everywhere else. And yeah it took me about 2days to get used to the keyboard layout (it's got a full number pad which I love).
On the cookbooks, I know Mom has been wanting to clear some out, I'll see if any are bread and get back to you on that ;P
