So glad you enjoyed it. I've read a few Kirk-on-the-Narada fics, and in all but one (where Kirk did become Nero's son), he doesn't come across nearly alien enough for my tastes. I really wanted to write a Kirk who would have an impossible time of fitting into the shiny-happy federation.
