Even the dogs whining for attention in another room would be a distraction from where he needs/wants to be, brain-wise.
I wanted it to feel planned, like they'd done it before, had a routine, knew what they were doing. I think having it at this familiar yet new-to-Jensen place brought it home to Jensen more than a fancy dungeon somewhere would have. He's sat on that chair, slept on that couch, and suddenly it's the place where Jared gets whipped and fucked.
