I've read this part a few times already and I just love the way this story is building. Jensen is so much braver than he realizes, and you really manage to paint a picture of a damaging past with a few brief lines. Jared's family is a riot and poor Jared doesn't know what's gotten into them and is trying his best to protect Jensen from them. And the way that Jared knows Jensen needs a break from the family and they end up eating alone outside and Jared knows just how to act to help Jensen 'calm down' is lovely. I could just go on and on - I love hurt/comfort fics and this one is just wonderful. I'm so looking forward to the next part ... and the one after that ... and the one after that ... you get the idea ;-)
