The funny thing was, that was my mental process from about the time Jared opened the box. It was like a train wreck, I couldn't look away.
The jenbot is creepy. It's programmed with "The person Jared thinks Jensen is." And then it has its own goals, to be kept, wanted, useful, needed. I haven't decided if it has Asimov's rules of robots. It's made in China. Probably not.
So many ways that could all go wrong. Especially now that Jared thinks he's got a handle on the situation.
I honestly don't know if i could have written something this squicky if I'd tried. I twisted my brain a little, writing this. A sequel might feel forced.
