Considering how closed off Jensen can be, I think that he surprised himself with how quickly he opened up to Jared. Snuggling with someone else's bedding and dog is a very intimate gesture, especially for Jensen who tends to over-think everything. The fact that he can feel comfortable doing it without having to talk himself into it is huge progress.
This chapter also reminded me of the injustice that there is not a single Sonic near me. But there must be one somewhere around here because they are always playing commercials for those delicious-looking breakfast burritos.
