The brother-kink works for me, but I don't think it's what attracted me to either fandom. It's more that unbreakable closeness, that bond that they have. I really identify with the roughness of their childhoods, the Winchester's transient existance. The poverty that both pairs grew up with.
I adore the fandoms, in that men are men. Thery aren't fancy or refined. So many fandoms just have the pretty boys living pretty lives with these contrived-feeling drama-traumas.
