Oh, and since you don't know BV, Heath is the bastard son of the (now deceased) famously rich Tom Barkley. That letter from his mother's friend is what draws him home and his mother tells him for the first time who his father is, and he goes from there to confront his family (who, after a rocky start, welcome him in as a rightful son).
