This is definitely a different level of writing than I've had before. Every word is trying to not only say what happens and how it feels but trying to recreate that feeling in the reader's head by how it fits with the word before and after it, until it's like one of Jensen's projects. I'm so glad the stark/spare/poetic thing works. I'm very much enjoying writing the contrasts and conflicts that make up the boys lives.
