At 9:50 my hubby asked what I wanted to do tonight. Like see a movie or what? So I checked guidelive.com. BB King was playing in Fort Worth at Billy Bob's at 10:30.

Knowing it was gonna take at least an hr or more to get there and having no idea if it was sold out or not we ran to the car and drove far far far to FW and fought traffic and found a parking spot for $5 that was super-close and got to see freakin BB King.

It was amaaaaazing. his music was so alive and so full of full fullness (okay yeah, it's way past my bedtime). He told funny stories between songs and gave relationship advice to the masses.

Wow, I didn't realize you were a fellow DFW'an. There are so many of us floating around!

I've lived in Dallas for almost 25 years and am ashamed to admit that other than driving thru on road trips I've never been to Fort Worth. I always say I'm going to check out the FW Arts Festival, but then it rolls around and it's 115 degrees out and there's just no way. LOL.

I wish I'd known about the show though, my daddy loves BB King. I would have bought my parents tickets! I'm glad you had a good time!

It was my first trip to the FW entertainment district. I'd been to FW once before to drop off a business packet but that was it. I've been in dallas since 2001.
