I totally know what you mean; I underwent a similar revelation around Crhistmastime. Alas for me, it was in the other direction, with the fitter giving me a fond smile, handing me a D cup, and saying "I'm sorry, honey, but you're never gonna see a C again unless you get your pants size down to a 4."
Aw, hell, I look *great*. One of the girls I know was trying to place me from a dinner we went to together - all of a sudden, her face lit up, and she chirped, "Oh! Now I remember! You're the one with the fantastic boobs!"
I give you kudos for being able to acknowledge and accept that. I lost 10 pounds last summer and my boobs went from a C to an A but I still refuse to wear A bras.... I now wear Bs.
Awesome. I have no idea what size I am for certain (modest B?) but I do know that breastfeeding two babies has, erm, changed the lay-of-the-land drastically. I've been working up the courage to go in & help get fitted.
That they do. I finally had to go out and buy a bra with support in it (the pill stopped the flatchested thing I had) and it was like, "wow look at those."
I recently made the alarming discovery that I am not a 42DD, I am a 44DD. I am having a bitch of a time finding a good bra that doesn't have bows and lace on it, doesn't cost an arm and a leg, has an underwire I can work in, and is white. :(
I'm sure they're out there, but I'm not finding 'em.
Yes, a good, well-fitted bra makes all the difference in how you look *and* is much more comfortable.

Date: 2008-04-29 02:38 pm (UTC)Bra shopping is scary. Absolutely terrifying in fact. ;p But that's awesome. Nice underwear is supposed to make you feel good about yourself.
