We got an incredibly sweet sympathy card from the vet about Lily, signed by everyone who works there. It had a little inked pawprint of hers in it from after she was dead and I cried a bit.

Piff and Blue are starting to interact more. They'll play a little then fight a little. Hopefully they'll work out that alpha-cat thing soon.

Had a whoosh day for writing. Like 1500 words of whoosh. Some firefighter and some new serious thing that I've been playing with the idea of for a long time.

Life is awesome.


EDIT: 2500 words. My brain, it is dumped. Now to fill it up again.

I'm writing a RPS ex-hooker-fic. But--it really doesnt have the dynamic of your usual hooker-fic. It is strange in my head.

For like 6 months I've been playing with the opening chapter, trying to figure how to put a huge amount of backstory into a small re-cap. Today, I just decided 'fuck it' and just started the story months earlier in the timeline.

One of my biggest problems in writing (besides the fact that I rarely finish what I start), is keeping myself from using a big wind up and not just telling the damn story. But sometimes it's just totally unavoidable.

I do love me a good hooker/ex-hooker fic. There's just always something so compelling about the story of why and how they came to be in that place.

Can't wait to read it.

I love hooker fic, except when I hate it. There's a tendency to feminize and victimize the boys until they don't seem like guys anymore.

Good luck on the alpha-cat thing. It's been over six months, and my two male dogs still haven't settled on who is alpha, but I am getting really good at catching the body language of "we are about to tear into each other" in time to separate and muzzle them before I have to wash the walls..

Blue is half Piff's size and they don't fight too hard when it looks a little serious.

It's good to feel happy again. I adjusted the anti-depressants dosage too (with dr's permission).
