Went to dinner last night for our bi-weekly writer's group thing.  Lots of great feedback.  Fun glaring at the hubby for his super-detailed printed-out track-changes thing.

Turned into a pumpkin at 8:30 but my sleep's been kinda screwed up lately.

Went home and went to bed.  Sinus headache kept me up.  Sam gave me a Mucinex D.  Figured between being unable to sleep because of pain and unable to sleep because of sudoephodren (sp?) I'd take the second.

Felt great but awake for like 45 minutes.  Then I started itching.  Broke out in hives from the crown of my head to the back of my knees, but only on the back of me.

Took benedril and went to bed.  Laid and twitched for some time as I resisted the urge to scratch my skin off.

No more Mucinex for me.

I think you're allergic to Sam. I mean, he did touch the Mucinex, after all. Little flakes of Sam on everything.

May I recommend Omega 3 for the sinus and 5-HTP for the sleep? Or, you know, whiskey.

I can't take any of the D allergy meds cause they make my bi-polar trip out. Please pass that info on if you know anyone with bi-polar most of the time that D component causes an increase in mood swings.

I've heard that Muscle rub can help with itching

Another to add to the allergy list you poor lass.

I found that the traditional Sinus tablets don't relieve the inflamation which always seems to be half the battle and on my nurses advice I pop Ibuprofen (not sure what that would be in the States) but it's basically an analgesic and inflamatory drug that you get over the counter. I had sinusitus for fourteen weeks couple years ago, and I took them regular, it was the only thing that kept me sane as my head felt like it was going to explode.

Also, I find inhaling steam over the sink (towel over head to keep it in) several times a day is a great reliever.

Hope you feel better soon. Jane :)
