I've heard that your house will never be cleaner than when you're pregnant.
I didn't really believe it. Especially with the way I slept through the first four months.
Now? OMG. I'm cleaning stuff I never would have before. Just spent the morning cleaning the rail of the back porch (where we're having the shower, BTW. April 4th. Any of you DFW people wanna come, please let me know. I don't have any of my family around and not so many female friends and I totally don't want to be sitting there alone with my mother-in-law.:) Enough of the paint is not-good so I need to repaint the whole thing.
Yesterday I dusted stuff I hadn't in ages.
I think part is being off of the Lexapro. Before, I just didn't care. Now i care and I have this hormone thing kicking at the same time.
Like--if my husband asked me what recreational activity I'd like to do together tonight, it'd probably be something like cleaning out the baby's room closet.

I was the same way - nothing was safe from my rag and cleaner. Was never ever that way again. I miss it sometimes :-)

Date: 2009-03-11 12:55 am (UTC)I'm glad to see that you're adjusting to being off the meds. It's very hard to get used to being on *or* off of them, especially considering the problem it's supposed to help with doesn't go away!

Date: 2009-03-11 09:07 am (UTC)The day my first baby was due I was down on my hands and knees grouting the new tiles in the hallway. Because for some reason the house had to be perfect. (Being on hands and knees was fine... it was getting down there and getting back up again that was the problem...)
Said babe was a week late, and I've never had such a clean and tidy house since! (Because when the cleaning urge hit with baby no. 2 I had a toddler in the house to negate the effects!)
