So. The great "cats use toilet" plan of 2009 has been declared a failure. Blue got it. Piffy refused to play.
Ordered a Cat-genie today. We're thinking of putting a small hole in the wall between a hall closet and our bathroom for the plumbing and running a drop-cord for the electricity.
Anybody have one of these? Any advice?

STOP RIGHT THERE!
Date: 2009-03-21 04:15 am (UTC)I did the same thing with my 3 cats. One got it, one went sometimes and the other didn't feel the need to shift her (fat) ass that far off the ground. I wrote it off as a failure and went back to all litter box, all the time. I later realized that if even only ONE cat was using the toilet it made my job easier. If I'd been smart I'd've kept it going. I'm pretty sure the 2nd one would have switched over eventually. The 3rd one was always doomed, but, as I said, half the cat poop (in the toilet) is better than none.
Is the Cat-Genie the one that scoops itself? Sadly, I have no experience, as I would have had to buy two of the $80 things for them to do any good. There's plumbing?
