post-pregnancy update

 Sami was 7 weeks yesterday.  It's getting easier.  She sleeps most of the night most nights.  I don't mind waking up to nurse as long as I can go back to sleep right after (or during).

I'm within 5 lbs of my pre-pregnancy weight, which is cool.  I'm a very different shape though.  Went up 2 bra cup sizes and my belly is still baggy.

somehow I got out without any stretch marks at all.  

The c-section recovery contnues to be rough.  Just walking to the corner store hurts afterwards. Hurts less every time so I keep doing it.

Went through my old clothes today.  Pants all fit except some hurt the incision site.  Many shirts fit but the new boobs don't work in a couple. :)  It was like a free shopping trip, trying on things I havent worn in a year.

Awesome. The belly is unfortunate, but totally normal, and plenty of water and exercise (for circulation mostly) coupled with a waist cincher will help. You have to wear compression garments (which may be too uncomfortable at this point cuz of teh surgery), but the tighter ones really help your skin snap back while gravity is not pulling it further away from you.

Over the weeks, I've seen your posts and I don't think I had remembered to congratulate you! {blush} Belated congratulations. She looks adorable!

Aww, that's great, she's so cute! And congratulations on the weight and going through your clothes, I hope you found lots of good fits, lol. I love going through stuff I haven't worn in forever, just putting it on makes me feel good.
