Finnish musician. I dunno what she's singing about, but it sure is pretty. Most of it. The song that starts with "Suuri" is like Tolkien elves rapping. Very strange. But the rest is ethereal and beautiful and haunting.

Lovely to see people finding finnish artists even if the language is hard and unknown.

I have actually heard of her but hadn't heard any songs. I really liked her version of Kehtolaulu. It's an old finnish lullaby, the direct translation would probably be "A Cradle song" but it basically means Lullaby. It's been a long, long time since I've heard such a long version of it... Not probably since childhood.

With the baby, we spend a lot of time looking at lullaby videos on youtube. My husband wanted to look for Finnish lullabies because it's the language Tolkien based high elvish on.
We found one of karvonen's and from there went looking for her on myspace.

The rap-sounding song is growing on me. What the heck are they talking about, I wonder...
