Okay, seriously? I had my first post-partum period at like 4 months. It's now almost 8 and I've had 6 periods. All heavy but almost cramp-free. Still, a 21 day cycle is not my friend.
I second the idea of going to PP. They can hook you up with a pill with a different ratio of hormones but still a low near-constant. Lots of people will have breakthrough bleeds on constant pill packs but if it's every 21 days you might do just as well with one that lets you have a withdrawal bleed, with low estrogen on most days and just 2 days of truly no hormones at all. or you might even do better tossing out the placebo pills in a low dose traditional pack where there are 7 days of withdrawal planned. or the nuva ring which delvivers a low steady dose of hormones, and you can choose (though it's not FDA approved, strictly speaking) to leave it in for 28 days in a row. I <3 the nuvaring. Not that I've ever tried it, I'll admit. But PP knows all of this stuff and more. I especailly love when the PP has a midwife as the provider because then they're familiar with babies and breastfeeding and pregnancy as well as the prevention of pregnancy. That might be a quirk of the PP here, though.
