In the movie we don't have the quiet time to stop and think about just how bug-f**cking-nuts these guys really are. You took Nero and held him up to a small light - dark, ugly, and oh so believable. Its a wonder the entire crew didn't kill themselves off in progressively more violent and bloody ways.
Kirk. It really works. While there is a part of me that wants the crew to be able to sweep in and kiss it all better, the way you write makes it clear that will not happen. Does he attempt to take over the universe or just stake claim to a portion of it?
