1000 words of fic in 30 minutes. I feel alive again. Like the words go down in the right order and when they're down, more are on the way. I feel like those first days of writing In From the Cold. Like I can do this writing thing.

I can't tell you how good it feels to see I've written 5600 words so far. That's like 1/10 of IFtC. This feels very do-able.

Have you ever used Scrivener? It's absolutely awesome for multi-chapter fics. It lets me sketch out scene-opener and POV for a few chapters ahead so I can just start writing when I open it up. Constant saving, so nothing ever gets lost. I feel like I can see the whole fic or find that thing I need to check super-easy.

Scrivener is free in beta right now, and only like $30 when it's done being tested (the Mac version has been around for a few years).

Yay!

In From the Cold is one of the few J2 fics I saved in a folder to reread.

In From the Cold pulled me out of lurkdom kicking and screaming after literally ten years of lurking. Seriously, one of the best things ever!

You have so many amazing skills and talents....but if you do turn back to writing, i am ALL OVER IT.

Heh. I'm trying to do ALL THE THINGS! right now. Sewing and childcare and writing. Trying to find my work/life balance without having a job is sort of tricky. :)

I've been using Scrivener, and it's really helping me flow through a multi-chapter fic, if I can just avoid hitting a scene I"m not capable of writing. I don't foresee any roadblocks in this one so hopefully I'll burn trough it pretty fast. I would love another COMPLETED on my fic list.

OMG I can't say how good it feels.

Have you ever used Scrivener? I'd say it's more of a novel-writing tool than a word-processor (though it is that too).

Thanks. I'm at 5600 words right now, which is like 1/10 of IFtC. This feels really doable. I'm very excited.

That's brilliant!

How about doing mini-nano this year?

I really might, with the sort-of-hope that the sewing things start to sell and force me out of writing for the Christmas season. :)

Isn't it awesome when that happens? I thought I'd forgotten how to write but lately I've been like you, slowly starting back up again.

Have you gotten to any sex yet? LOL.

Heh. Sex between the main characters? No. But a solo and a casual het and yeah. Flowing quite nicely in the pr0n arena there. :)

I am using Scrivener now, and wow it makes a difference in plotting and work-flow and keeping track of stuff. Very cool tool.

I'm in a really good place right now, creativity wise. Sewing or writing almost every day. It feels awesome.
