OMG. The AC has been out at the house since Thursday, and out in my car since yesterday. Weather is in the mid to high 90's. The plan is to drop the car off tonight after my husband gets off of work, and we're waiting on a part for the house's central air. We've got one tiny window unit trying to cool much too much of the house from one of the few windows that don't have permanent screens in them.. spending the heat of the day at the gym and McDonald's.

On the good side of things, I just finished a 23,000 word Losers AU fic! :) I feel very accomplished. Hoping the last chapter left the story on a sweet enough note. My other Losers fic is at 21,000 words (out of probably 30,000), hopefully I'll have brain for it later this week.

I swear I thought I had more to say.

Gah! for the still out AC and high temperature - I don't know how you manage - I'd be feeling miserable.

Yay! for finished fic. And fingers crossed for the second fic (and just think you had those lurking ideas for a new one too...) *grin*

I just realized I still have to fill the "(babble)" spot. And have to watch an episode of Star Trek TOS to do so. :) But other than that, it's done. After I make the typos and changes you've already pointed out, would you be willing to look it over again as the beta-reader?

The car is ridiculous. I can have AC or acceleration. I crank it up at stoplights and hope it lasts until the next one. Hopefully that'll be fixed over the next day or so. Gonna drive my husband to work tomorrow so I can go to the gym and write.

And nooooo. I do not think I can write Tony Stark. Jake Jensen is enough of a stretch in the banter department. :) I might pull through my abandoned WIPs and see if I have something that would make a good companion piece. I have a Jensen Ackles/JDM fic that died at 6000 words for lack of outside action and conflict. Seriously, I was looking through the chapter notes and it's like "Jensen and jeff sit and talk" over and over and over. In a werewolf fic. Not even sure why I wrote it that far with a roadblock that big in front of me. I guess I just assumed something would occur to me.

Of course I'll be willing to look it over - just give me a shout when you're ready. I'm sure you've got something among those WIPs that would be good to pull back out of the shadows and have another go at - I have faith in you. Or I could point you in the direction of this post for some other good ideas. *wink*

Awesome. Wasn't sure how busy you were and didn't want to impose further than I already had, all "Can you read a fic? Great, oh btw, can you read two? And hold my hand? And beta?" :)

Also, I think I may put up that meme you did that I feared to play with before one of these was done.

I may have just plotted out an 8-scene minimum Losers/Dark Angel crossover/fusion Homeless!AU madness. Trying to write it in about 4000 words. Just so you know, I blame you. Blame, credit, it's all semantics, right?

Also, got 1250 words of the hairdresser fic done too today, so that's not dead, despite the long hiatus finishing the other. Gotta print out the changes to make on the were!cougar one so I can work on that, waiting for the storm to stop so I can turn on the computer at the printer (we are network-impaired here).

I went through such a terribly long dry spell (like almost 3 years between finished fics that were more than a one-shot, and precious few of even those). Having a very set writing routine really helps (1-2 hrs in the same spot, same time, every day, no internet). I seriously can't write at home.Even if Sami is asleep or something, it's just too....domestic.

Yeah, when I asked you how you would crossover Losers/DA, my brain started working on the puzzle, and I've wanted to do a homeless Losers since my plot-bunny list, and it sort of all shuffled itself out. I've got two vague sections-- ?conflict and ?resolution, so that'll be fun. :)
