I feel so badly for the Stars, that even for a Caps game they can only charge $12 for tickets. But then again, most Texans might not know hockey exists. (I grew up in Oklahoma, and I swear for like 20 years I did not know anyone played hockey except for the Olympics every four years.)
tbh we're in the nosebleed seats, and the tickets were like $30, except so many were empty they drop the prices the day of the game. This gives me hope of finding cheap Stars/Hawks at the last minute. :)
I lived in FL until I was 30, and soo tried to get my sports-nut grandfather to let me watch hockey but he could always find a ball game to watch instead. Hockey just seemed to do stuff instead of waiting and waiting and then a tiny burst of action and more waiting. Of all the sports, it was the least tedious to watch.
but then I got into fandom and geekdom and moved to TX and sort of didn't know/care about hockey until fandom sucked me in.
