Having a very creative week. Sewing and writing both, so that's good. Working on armor for Marcosias and probably some garb for my husband later today. Here's a photo of the man, and one of me, in Amtgard garb.

Amtgard /is/ my life on the weekend. I usually fight with a spear, or if the game is large enough, I use bow and (padded) arrows.
I went to get the car fixed yesterday, and recognized the mechanic from the game and I'm like "Hmmm, how long has it been since I hit him in the crotch, and does he seem to be the type to take it personally?"
I was hoping to take up archery back in Ireland but my move to Germany got in the way. My best friend loves the Renaissance festivals you have, while my family is into the whole medieval theme:

Amtgard archery is a little different. The padded arrows are limited in their accuracy and speed, so it's all about rate-of-fire and shooting at the guy who's not looking at me.
