re: SPN Hellhouse
Dec. 4th, 2006 03:55 pmJensen must have been dying as they filmed this. Being that he's from Richardson, and the "Richardson" of the episode is nothing like that.
I-35? Never smaller than 2 lanes in each direction. Rarely smaller than 3.
Richardson is like total suburbia. Except for like 3 horse-pastures it's all residential neighborhoods from the early 70's and corporate offices and warehouses.
"Where kids hang out in a town like this--" Hmm. That would be the hooka bar or the Yes Cafe, drinking Chinese bubble-tea.
And I love it in the episode when the waiter calls him Jensen instead of sir or Dean or whatever his line was supposed to be.

Date: 2006-12-05 05:22 pm (UTC)If I ever write Jensen and Jared coming home for the holidays or something, I'm totally working this all into the fic.
I love living here. It's like one of the most culturally diverse places I've lived. Black, Hispanic, a huge Muslim community and a Chinese one that's a little larger. God we've got the best food. A little more Thai and it'd be perfect. :)
Which reminds me I need to go to the Chinese supermarket and get a can of pickle.
Mmmm. Pickle.

Date: 2006-12-07 03:24 am (UTC)I worked in Carrollton for 3 years and different parts of Dallas for longer. As exciting as it was to see them use Texas, I thought they could have done better research. When I was in HS, there was a house in Marshall Creek called Crazy Man's that would have made a better fit. Rural area, close to 114, and much more believably faked in Canada than Richardson. But then the writers didn't ask Jensen, did they?
