So no shit, there I was at SpringWar twelve...

 

Harassing the Denny's staff after we got to site and there was no nighttime ditch.  I made the three tan tunics. 

ditching:  a never-ending game of "hit-people-with-foam-sticks"  no magic, no archery.  Teams are self-balancing (the loosing team from each round, or "push" gets the first one to die from the winning team)

 

Me, the hubby and our adopted amtgard-son before one of the battles.

Yay, archer-bitch. :)  Actually had someone identify me on the battlefield that way.  I took it as a compliment.

 

I made the two tan tunics, the blue armor on the guy behind Sam and I, and the tooled leather bracers on the guy at the far right of the pic.

"Us."  Notice a size difference?  I've never had so much fun losing a battle before.  It was a target-rich environment.  Archer's playground.

 

Anyways, it was a pretty good event.  Would have been much improved by better ditching.

It does look like a blast to just run around pounding people with (foam) sticks. Yea!

I killed sooooo many people that day. It was a beautiful thing.

Give me a good shield-man and a target-rich environment, and my number of kills will be as high as anyone on the field.
