So.  It's been like 3 weeks since I had the really-bad-tummy-ache.

Went for a sonogram of my gallbladder on thursday.

That looked fine, so it's not full of stones or anything.  It's just not working (which apparently happens?).

They're gonna schedule me for a very specific gall bladder test.  Which--not all hospitals have the machine, and those that do take one patient a day because the freakin' thing takes forever, apparently.

So. The chick who does the out-of-office-scheduling and insurance approval and stuff will get to my case on Friday or monday (which means I'm good to fight in BannerWars).

For now, food hates me and I hate food.  I'm counting calories in the reverse--I'm like "Okay I ate this and this and this today. Crap. That's only 900 calories.  What can I stand to eat that'll be another 300?"  Which is nice for the scale, but I like to like food so it's a little annoying.  Maintaining energy at Bannerwars will be a pain. I think I"m taking the honey bear for quick energy.

Anyway, I'm not worried and I'm not in pain and that's the update since I know some of you were concerned. Which I appreciate, don't get me wrong.

Good news/Bad news. Well, at least you aren't in any pain, and are closer to finding out what the deal is. When my sister was sick a while back we tempted her with (hi cal) booster juices (I dunno if you have them where you are - but its like a fruit smoothy with "shots" of healthy crap in it). It sounds like what you have is much more serious than what she had, but maybe it would help (my family can always tell when I am sick because the freezer is packed with about 15 different kinds of popcycles -- whatever works, eh?)

I'll look for those. On a normal day, I'm maintaining energy. At an all day fighting event, I have run out of energy before and I can't suck this weekend. :)

Oooh, this means I can get the lime slush from Sonic (at like 700 calories, it's usually out of my calorie budget. this time it'll be good instead of bad.

Thanks. I hope it call comes out well for you. For me it's more annoying than anything. I've got enough stress with school and all that.

i had my gallbladder out a few years ago, after controlling the stones by eating extremely low fat for a decade. i'll be interested to know what's causing your problems, if not stones. hope it's easily treated, whatever it is!

sorry about the meager diet in the meantime.

Yeah, I had no stones at all. We eat pretty damn low fat normally. an average of 1 egg/day and lean chicken and almost no fried food.

I think I crashed today, sugar-wise. I started crying in class and didn't stop for over an hr.

Being unable to relish good food, especially since you enjoy cooking, sucks. Not to mention the fatigue. I'm glad to hear you've got the opportunity to get it under control.

Hope you get to feel better soon.

I'm just hitting the first of the hard fatigue and hunger-induced mood stuff. Freaky man.

Hopefully they'll tell me something after this test. If not, they hand me off to a gastro specialist.
