P.S. Jeff's Ass

So. Went with Kendra to see PS Jeff's Ass today.

All in all it was more of the chick-flick than I usually care to watch. A whole lot could have been cut out of that movie as far as I was concerned. 

Pretty much everything that happened somewhere other than Ireland.  It seemed like a long build-up to the part with Jeff on stage, and Jeff on a boat and Jeff eating spaghetti and Jeff buck naked and Jeff wrapped up in white sheets and Jeff's hands and Jeff's bracelets and Jeff carrying bales of hay.  

It really got me with the almost-Daniel thing near the end.  I was almost so very very very pissed.  And then running into Jeff and Jeff's dad at the very end was awesome.


I did like the shoes though.  Not that I'd wear such a thing, but they were very pretty and inventive and neat.

I've lost loved ones suddenly and without warning, and none of my friends warned me this was a big death-fest movie. My friends hate me. So for me the movie was insanely emotionally wrenching. It was barely enjoyable it was so painful. I cried so much I felt like I wanted to throw up.

... however to make it up to me, my friends all watched old episodes of Dark Angel with me and we got drunk. So fun evening!

Jeff is awesome in the movie. I really didn't see the sexy Jeff appeal before this movie. I mean I thought he was handsome enough, but he plays the boys DAD. After PS: ILY though, he's totally hot. And I'm totally shallow. *g*

I really abhored Holly though. Whats-her-name has a really irritating voice, and played Holly a little too bitchy to be truly endearing. ... didn't stop me from crying like a baby though.

Dude. Your friends suck. I couldn't take my husband to it (not that it's his kind of movie anyway but he'd have gone if i'd asked) because his dad died of a brain tumor at that age.

Jeff was so damn sexy. And wow. Nice ass, Jeff.

Holly was annoying. All the "you're totally not 19" flashback scenes and yeah. bitchy.

So sorry you got bushwhacked by the movie. Smack your friends for me next time you see them.

They didn't think about it at the time. They were surprised I didn't watch the preview. Apparently the preview makes it apparent that it's a "dealing with death, and everything sucks" movie. Jeff has so many movies coming out, that I can't keep track of what I've seen and what I haven't!

But yes, Jeff was incredibly sexy. Surprisingly sexy! And that accent... wow.

And despite identifying with Holly's situation and the lines she was given... Hilary Swank just irritates me onscreen. She's irritated me in everything I've seen her in except "Boys Don't Cry". And I totally didn't buy the 19 year old scene. I kinda wanted to throttle her. "If I see you again, it's fate!" Okay, that's just cheesy.

I'm not pissed at my friends. They watched Baby Jensen in Dark Angel with me and we did shots of Goldshlogger. I LOVE Goldshlogger (or however you spell it.) It was an alternative Supernatural evening. *g* Surprisingly sexy Jeff as an Irish guy, and baby Jensen playing the ever adorable baby Dean character - Alec. All we needed was a Jared movie, and it would have been perfect! (Unfortunately I don't love Jared enough to watch that Olsen twin movie or Gilmore Girls... I'm not sure I can sit through the Kincade movie either even though it features Jared in knitted hats.)
