Does anybody else have certain fics they'd like to read but think they'd suck at writing? 

I mean, I could try, but they'd probably change on me and not be the warm fuzzies that I imagined by the time I was done. 

I point to the Jensen-bot fic that I'm working on that's not cute and silly at all as an example of this.  I am pleased with the fic but it's not  like the one I was in the mood to read.


SPN AU RPS fics that I want to read (mostly cracktacular cliche!fic):

  -- (they'd have to be almost the same age for it to work for me in this one).  Jensen's parents discover their 17 year old son's gay and send him away to this ranch  in SanAntonio.  Could be that they just wanted him out of the temptations of the city and sent him to stay with friends of theirs or something, could be a home for troubled teens sorta thing.  Maybe clashes with Jared at first, but ends with love and sex.  Either way.  But city-boy/ranch-boy, yes.

-- Jared's going after his teaching degree, takes a drawing class to fufill some electives course.  Jensen's working his way through his Physical Therapist's degree, picking up some cash as a nude model for the art department.  He really doesn't like it when art students talk to him afterwards.

--A western (or space western) from the song "Pancho and Lefty," where Jared's the bandit boy (for whatever reason) and Jensen "can't sing the blues, all night long like he used to do."  Would prefer if Jen managed to trick the federales and took Jared with him to Ohio. Tragic ending okay, if that's the way it goes.  Lyrics are here http://www.deadbabes.net/artist_w/willie_nelson_all_songs/pancho_and_lefty_lyrics.html

These bunnies are free to good home, though I won't be sad if I have to release them out into the wild.  I just know I'll mutate them if I try to write them.

Usually, they are fluffy bunny things I know would twist and mutate into something totally different if I tried them.

I can't do cute and light. Love to read it when I'm in the mood, can't write it to save my life. The Scar!verse is about as close as it comes.

I just wanted a silly thing with a robot that looks like Jensen and ended up with Jared freaking the fuck out.

I just don't have any fluff in my writer's toolbox. I can't resist playing with the internal or external conflict of any situation.

I love your bunnies! Gosh, you know what I'd love to read? A freakin' skater!Sam fic done right:( Or a real high school AU; one that plays on cliques, peer pressure, and the hormones of teenage boys. And God, if its rps, I don't want every freakin' character to be an actor/actress from the WB/CW.

I started on the nude model one. 1000 words in. Jensen's all Mr. "Social anxiety disorder," trying to keep his shit together.

Jared's all "Why the heck do I try drawing anymore? There's no life left, no inspira...Oh god, that's my muse up there!" Sweet puppy boy who doesn't quite get how freaked out Jen is by things like conversation.

I'll admit I've fallen into the too-many-WB-extras trap. Kripke is the instructor. But I think he'll be the only one.
